Who backs up those officers if they do something?

That perp would beat them back to the corner after having
paperwork filed on him.
They serve at the directive of their supervisors. They’ve
been told what they can’t do right now. Their supervisors
answer to their supervisors who answer to the mayor.
Blaming these officers is off focus.
That’s been the story for the most part for decades. Throwing cops under the wheels is nothing new for the bosses. They survive politically by throwing you down the stairs. It’s just much worse now. But would people not know this going in? It’s certainly no secret, especially in big cities.
