I don't see that as a strong response. Firing all of those who signed the letter would be a strong response.

Color me unimpressed.

Yep. Bring ‘em back just before unemployment would kick in. Some time off allows people to consider life, the universe and everything.

In the diplomatic world a nice response is the way it is done. A ‘nice response’ is always worded with timid, milk-toast language. The ‘strongly worded letter’ is always perceived by parties not directly involved as a slap across the face with a cotton ball. It is the language of wimps.

Dealing with the left IMHO is rapidly mimmicing how one has to deal with the muslim. The only thing that gets the attention of your average double-digit IQ muslim is naked, merciless force. When opening negotiations with the muslim, the first thing the muslim puts on the table is your death. How do you counter that? In other words there is no reasoning with them be they muslim or leftists.

ya. Offering to relieve their conscience of the burden of building a tool of oppression such as the Ford Police Interceptor would have been my first go to response here.

How many Ford employees actually made the demands? Most of these protests are by a very small number of people who act like they have a big voice.

I think his last paragraph is exactly that. I like it.

I don't think they would get it though.

His response should have been” “OK,fair enough...starting Monday production will cease...permanently.Also starting Monday we will be laying off 25% of line workers and office staff.Lastly, starting Monday all remaining employees will see a 20% decrease in pay and a 50% increase in health coverage deductions from paychecks.

Any employee who did not want to make police vehicle should be reassigned or terminated. I would not trust them to make a quality vehicle if they don’t even want to make it. Police vehicle safety is important.

Just as when some on FreeRepublic were saying have mexico build the wall - no way I would want anyone building the wall to also be trying to cross the border illegally or otherwise benefitting from the USA while not being a USA citizen.

He was nicer than I would have been. My response would have been, We will continue to make police cars. If you don't like it, I recommend you find other employment. Your attitude is not compatible with our mission.

Agreed. That said, I thought his response was very good.

I think some corporations are learning from the miserable experiences of FB and other tech firms...you can never be woke enough, and what was woke when you said it may fifteen minutes later lead to your being declared an Enemy of the People.

“safer communities for all” sir, means

Addressing black on everybody crime

Until that issue is “addressed” your words ring hollow

For the sake of argument, let’s accept as a given that there is systemic racism in law enforcement. How does it then logically follow that the answer is to abolish the police? Should we also abolish education, healthcare, and any other endeavor where “inequalities” exist? Shouldn’t the answer be to improve the system?

“A group of employees”?

How many? Have they been given the janitorial jobs at the plant?

If they put one death then you put 10 deaths. /;^)
