Black Lady A has been using that name far longer, by decades.
40 something Blues singer.
Very talented band.
“Need You Now” an iconic song.
Their name however is/was STUPID!
Which MORON thought THAT was a good name for their band?
Hard to pronounce, hard to remember, hard to spell, meaningless to almost EVERYONE!
Even way back when they chose it, IT HAD RACIST CONNOTATIONS. A BLIND man could see that!
THEN..... changing the “racist” name Lady Antebellum to just a shortened version of it “Lady A” is just as racist!
Add on top of that, a Black singer was ALREADY using that name...... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Oh, you weren’t.
You are rich, famous, talented, just choose a totally NEW name. Actually, choose SOMEONE ELSE to choose it for you. Like some marketing company.
Just to be clear, they could call themselves “Lady KKK” if they wanted to. I don’t care, they are in business to make money. Branding is important, so choosing a name with racist undertones (ESPECIALLY a “Country Band”) was just STUPID! They should have known better OR OWN IT!
to show how woke and down with the struggle they are and how sensitive they are for the feelings of black people, they sue a black musician so they can appear more woke.
They're suing to enforce the decade-old copywright on a shortened verion of their name that fans have long been using after the blues singer tried to shake them down for $10 million.
This should only help them....
Rich lilly white women group sues a poor black women over a name she herself has had for decades. I guess somewhere in the lawsuit it mentions that the poor black women is not staying on the democrat plantation and doing what she is told to do.
