I am still waiting for the nuclear war that Scientific American assured us would happen if Reagan deployed the Pershing missiles to Europe.

This is laughably stupid.

Of course it had to be written by a woman. Actually someone more evolved than a woman. A womxn.

I don’t don a mask just to get the Karens worked up.

In todays refusal to wear a mask, we see echoes of this condom rejection embedded in white masculine ideology. In the first sentence of this article, we see thunderous echoes of the writers anti-male bias, where everything a man does is related to his alleged desire to get his private parts together with a woman's.
There is no consideration for a mask refusal based on the actual science and politics behind the masking demands.

Masks are made to prevent transmission of bacterial infections. They do little to nothing to prevent much smaller virus particles from either coming or going. Just because a doctor says they do does not make it true. The current running mortality rate is a bit less than 1% and the hospitalization rates are very low. When you flatten the curve, you stretch out the period of time it will take to expose/infect the same numbers in the population. Testing positive without symptoms or requirement to hospitalize is not an indication of mortality rate. This is a scamdemic in the year of living stupid.

Scientific American used to be a good magazine about SCIENCE. It has become neither scientific nor American.

This politically motivated, partisan, anti-Trump, anti-male screed has no place in Scientific American. It demonstrates that scientism has replaced science in the pages of this once august magazine. Nothing printed in it from now on can be trusted.

A lot of what is spoken or written today isn’t science, because it starts with a conclusion, followed by cherry picking and confirmation bias. Saying that we should automatically assume that protesters cannot spread COVID-19 is one such assumption.

Scientific American’s fall into pure garbage has been long and hard. It used to be a respected magazine.
To: Swordmaker
When I was growing up we called it pseudoscience.
