In a shocking twist of the ensuing statue crisis ripping this nation apart, Republican senators Ron Johnson (R-WI) and James Langford (R-OK) quietly introduced legislation last week to remove the national Christopher Columbus federal holiday. No doubt they were cowardly kowtowing to the political pressure of the times.

Wondering who the sinless icon is for BLM or any of the Native Americans complaining?

Our nation is also sometimes referred to as “Columbia”. But of course that is what the Marxists are trying to destroy.

Should all the movies from Columbia studios also be burned?

The historian primarily given credit for Columbus’ fall from grace is Howard Zinn, author of The People’s History of the United States.

I believe credit (or blame) should more properly go to Kirkpatrick Sale and his Conquest of Paradise. (Zinn's book was published three or four years after Sale's and I would guess it probably uses it as a reference.)

Is Americo Vespucci safe? Is Marco Polo about to be blamed for bringing back the first virus that killed millions in Africa. That last sentence I felt like a writer for the New York Times just make it up.

“For many people in our community, the statue represents patriarchy”

The use of “patriarchy” in the context of the “causes” toppling all the statues is RIGHT OUT OF THE BLM philosophy and agenda. It is part of the BLM agenda to destroy all that they refer to as patriarchy which includes the nuclear family.

The New World was going to be found, it was just a matter of time. Had Columbus not found it then the discovery would have gone to Pedro Álvares Cabral who discovered Brazil in 1500.
