The US military "will continue to stand strong" in relation to a conflict between India and China or anywhere else, a top White House official said on Monday, after the US Navy deployed two aircraft carriers to the South China Sea to boost its presence in the region.
"The message is clear. We're not going to stand by and let China or anyone else take the reins in terms of being the most powerful, dominant force, whether it's in that region or over here," White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told Fox News.
"And the message is clear. Our military might stands strong and will continue to stand strong, whether it's in relationship to a conflict between India and China or anywhere else," Meadows said in response to a The troops of India and China were locked in an eight-week standoff in several areas in eastern Ladakh including Pangong Tso, Galwan Valley and Gogra Hot Spring.

While food is leverage, China seems to have been buying up all sorts of Industrial Food Processing plants here and shipping all products back to their mainland.
If they keep that up, we might starve.
Yeah. peace in our time, eh bishop?
Hmmm. What would happen under such a scenario? Gosh, I'm not sure! Let's see. US Pacific Fleet - gone. Washington DC - gone. And yet the entire middle American and a bunch of these things we call Ohio class are still around. What could possibly happen?!
“Rescind all trade deals and ban travel to China. Ban the importation of all products made in China.”
You think the COVID recession is bad? It will be nothing compared to what happens when your idea is implemented.
We’ve done it to ourselves.
Are you familiar with the activities on Star Wars Commander?
Its kind of odd that Soros has suddenly developed an interest in gaming (Activision) at his age, no?
No way. This is insanity. Not our problem. We are bankrupt.
NO MORE US wars in Asia.
Being 5 times bankrupt isn’t enough. NeoCons wants 10 times bankrupt. Our grandchildren will be living with lower living standards than most of the world.
The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor because they believed the Americans had no stomach for war. They became victims of their own propaganda. While Obama was president the Japanese leaked to the press that Obama had, or was about to, remove nuclear weapons from US subs. Obama had also said words to the effect that the US could survive losing a few cities to nuclear bombs without responding. To me, it is amazing that we didn’t end up in a war while Obama was president as he practically invited an attack. Granted Trump isn’t Obama, but who knows who the president will end up being? Can you picture Biden even realizing what room he’s in, let alone dealing with China?
Desperation and a mistaken belief or two has started many a war.
The Indian military machine is somewhat slow to start off, and the government does not usually fire up the military unless seriously provoked. However, once the military machine is warmed up and on a roll, they are highly motivated, persistent, brave and tough, especially when defending their own territory.
The US does not have to do much, but I think they will appreciate some help from the sidelines. I have read up on some of the help that has been offered-
-Support on the UN Security Council. This has already happened with Germany and the US quashing a resolution submitted by China.
-Intelligence support particularly satelite information. I think some of this has already happened.
Expedited delivery of replacement parts and ammunition for weapons already purchased by India from the US. I think we have also offered them other weapons that they may need.
-Putting the squeeze on the Pakis, in case they try to open a second front against India to help the Chinese. I had read at one point that they were massing troops and equipment at the border. Shortly after the news came out they denied any mobilization to help the Chinese.
However, they are now claiming new territory in the little country of Bhutan that borders India and China on India's eastern front. Apparently this new area that China is claiming is a wild life sanctuary. The Chinese must have run out of bats, tigers and other critters and exotic animals to eat in their country.
Targeting Bhutan would put pressure on India, without raising the high levels of animosity from the Indian population.
A short-term answer is easy, right in front of us but no one is thinking about it. Japan.
The United States needs to unleash Japan. Remove the restrictions we placed on them from having an offensive military capability. Let them build up their military on an offensive rather than defensive posture. Aircraft carriers, missile-attack subs, even nuclear capability. Let Japan be our proxy against China so we don't risk losing our soldiers (at least in the beginning years in case it ends up expanding into WWIII).
History shows us that we eventually end up confronting expansionist powers that want to rule the world, sooner or later.
Hoping that the Chinese leadership will come to their senses and develop a little bit of conscience and responsibility.
Don’t send anyone over there. They’ve both got all the bodies they need.
Nobody is THAT stupid.
If so, let them take their best shot. The sooner we start, the sooner it is over.
The John Bolton’s having an erection reading this.
My comment was actually meant to be a reply to Redgolum’s post #9. Sent it to Bishop_Malachi by mistake.
That restriction is in their own constitution and not something we have control over.
Let Japan be our proxy against China so we don't risk losing our soldiers (at least in the beginning years in case it ends up expanding into WWIII).
Assuming, the sake of argument, that Japan is even remotely interested in being our proxy then what's it worth to us? How much will the U.S. pay for their being our proxy?
Yeah. peace in our time, eh bishop?
