If the pull-down loop is a real noose, it will collapse on your fingers if you pull with them in the loop.
If you grab the coiled rope wrapping for a grip, that part will slide down and also undo the loop, like a slip knot.
Does anyone have a real, still existing, garage pull down knot that can be examined?
I have a loop on my garage pull down, but it is not a noose or a slip knot. The loop will not shrink when pulled.
Isn’t that knot about 6 laps short of a noose?

I very seriously doubt that. In fact, I believe that his star will shine brighter. I doubt if he will lose one of his legions of fans. You would be surprised at the abuse a NASCAR fan will take.
