RIP Charlie.
Ever since “Rock around the Clock” came out in the 50’s, American music and society degenerated.
I posted it on the state board..
We’ve lost a great patriot. RIP friend!
Very true. He belongs there. Go in peace, Charlie.
“Is it appropriate to think that maybe should be order for flags to be flown at half-staff?”
It is at my house! My Flag was immediately lowered when I first heard the news. I will decide when I will raise it again. Great patriot, that one. R.I.P.
The South’s Gonna do it Again
Well, the train to Grinder’s Switch is runnin’ right on time
And them Tucker Boys are cookin’ down in Caroline
People down in Florida can’t be still
When ol’ Lynyrd Skynrd’s pickin’ down in Jacksonville
People down in Georgia come from near and far
To hear Richard Betts pickin’ on that red guitar
So gather ‘round, gather ‘round chillin’
Get down, well just get down chillin’
Get loud, well you can be loud and be proud
Well you can be proud, hear now
Be proud you’re a rebel
‘Cause the South’s gonna do it again and again
Elvin Bishop sittin’ on a bale of hay
He ain’t good lookin’, but he sure can play
And there’s ZZ Top and you can’t forget
That old brother Willie’s gettin’ soakin’ wet
And all the good people down in Tennessee
Are diggin’ barefoot Jerry and C.D.B
So gather ‘round, gather ‘round chillin’
Get down, well just get down chillin’
Get loud, well you can be loud and be proud
Well you can be proud, hear now
Be proud you’re a rebel
‘Cause the South’s gonna do it again and again
1. Sincerest condolences to his family and close friends - you lost a really good guy, and I know that it hurts.
2. We ALL lost a really good guy, someone who not only entertained us (and did that DAMNED well), but someone who over the last decade or so of his life dedicated at least a portion of his life to preserving what was best about this country. He, like everyone, knew that he wouldn’t be here forever, but he understood that it was vitally important that those who would remain need a country with similar laws and values to the one in which he grew up and which gave him such incredible opportunities.
3. Rest in peace, Charlie. It is always too soon for someone like you to go, but you did a more than fine job (so far as I can tell) in the time that the good Lord allotted to you. You will be missed!
One of my favorites.
A great guy. Very sad news. R.I.P. Charlie Daniels.
I would trade a hundred Luke Bryan's for one Charlie Daniels!
Poor Hazel

I knew he couldnt live forever
Dear Lord, Please be with Charlie’s family and friends as they grieve this tremendous loss. Amen.
Charlie’s got a new home.
Charlie was a great patriot, a great southerner. We’ve lost one our best. Never failed to read his writings when posted on FR. Never read one that wasn’t spot on. Sad day for me.
R.I.P. big man. God speed ‘n’ good rest, in peace be blessed.
