That's not a 'mural'. Just yellow BLM block letters written on the street.
Maybe the good citizens didn't like to see 'BLM' run over by cars... Or maybe they just didn't like seeing their streets defaced.

Good point - the letters were painted on the street where traffic runs right over them.
