Not to state the obvious, but I thought this was a story about US churches because the liberalization of many “mainstream” evangelical denominations has been shocking.
That’s what they’ve done to all our other institutions.
Their “long march through the institutions” is all but over. After the churches, there’s nothing left for them to conquer.

Any state university with a Confucius Institute should be shut down with prejudice.
Lots of Catholic Dioceses are moving away from direct pastor control over individual parishes too. They’ve created their own problem by shutting out any conservative elements going through seminary in the past 5 decades.
Any Catholic should look at the statistics of active ministry priests in their own diocese in the past 50 years. Many of them are less than 25% of active priest numbers they had in the late 1960’s. Its no wonder people know very little about Jesus, they’ve sent away all those who wanted to speak about him.

Left PCUSA (I was an elder) when they changed the standards so that pastors, elders and deacons were permitted to engage in fornication, adultery and sodomy.
They’d do a better job of running the United Methodist Church, than the proggies in charge of it right now.

I don’t blame the commies, atheists and infiltrators — in China, or here — that is what they do.
I blame the parishioners who stay on while, and after, this happens. We Christians are given discernment; and we’re told to test the spirits, whether they be of God. Then walk, and choose to assemble together with real Bible believers and Gospel teachers.
