The World Health Organization (WHO) announced Saturday it is halting its trials of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine and HIV treatment lopinavir/ritonavir in patients hospitalized with the coronavirus after results showed the drugs did not reduce mortality rates."These interim trial results show that hydroxychloroquine and lopinavir/ritonavir produce little or no reduction in the mortality of hospitalized COVID-19 patients when compared to standard of care. Solidarity trial investigators will interrupt the trials with immediate effect," the WHO said in a statement, referencing multi-country trials it is conducting.

I thought the recent study out of Michigan showed it worked well in certain situations.
Not supposed to stop deaths, you morons, it’s supposed to keep you from getting sick in the first place.
Yes. But it has to be administered as a combo, with zinc. There have been many people brought back from the brink.
On the other hand, all of these trials that show “some” improvement are HCQ only, or HCQ with antibiotic. They’ll claim improvements from 26% mortality to 22% mortality, or something similar.
But include zinc, as many doctors are, and suddenly you have 99% or 100% recovery.
But the treatment, for a week’s worth of pills, is about a dollar. Compared to $3000 for a week’s worth of Remdesivir that actually costs $9 at the factory. And doesn’t work nearly as well.
Treated patients in late stage of the disease and gosh darnit.... Forgot the zinc again!
I learned years ago to do a 180 on anything coming out of the CDC and WHO.
They pass out HCQ like candy for other issues, and people take it daily for years with no ill effects.
So when they try to scare you away from the only thing that is really effective, you have to know they do not have good motives.

Nope.. No one has claimed HCQ is effective in treating ChiComFlu in the later stages.
Who helped to cover up the virus before it spread. And then who made sure a lot of people could not get the best treatment and would therefore die. It turns out that all of those health organizations are corrupt. Even our own.
Keep changing the tires but never put any air in ‘em.
That’ll work the same way.
WHO is the only folks who “can’t” make it work.
