Works for me.
We have a soapstone wood stove that has a catalyst on it. Get it up to temp, and it burns VERY efficiently . And you can cook on top of it to boot.
We also have the grill. I want a rocket stove, though.
We looked at a soapstone stove last year when we got our Fireplace insert for the main fireplace—boy that thing really worked well.
If we have enough money left from the root cellar/storage shed, we want to build a sun room on the upper back patio and put a soap stone stove in there. That way we’ll have more room for our indoor plants in the winter, and a stove in case we need the heat out there, or to cook on.
We had to cut 20 trees to make way for the shed. Some of them were so huge—it saddened me to see them go. Trunks so big, hubby couldn’t even put his arms around them at all.
You now have lots of firewood, and maybe a bunch for some nice furniture projects.
LOL. We put a few stumps next to some of the faraway garden plots to sit on and take a break. The rest is firewood.
I realize it will take all summer and some, but let me know how many cords you get.
Might as well. They are offended by anything we do already.
LOL. I will if we ever get to put them where we can count them. I already have wood stacked all around my grand kids play yard against the fence-I have no idea how many cords it would be even.
The rest is all over the yard-hubby has been splitting the logs and can soon start stacking them —somewhere—he can’t figure out exactly where. We used to stack them between a couple of trees, but we don’t have any of those areas left that aren’t already full. LOL
