When a car mowed into a group of protesters in Seattle tonight. Warning: Disturbing footage.

The only thing distubing is that only 2 werr hit.
With the protesters running away, driver was fortunate to be able to score two. Blocking roads to stop cars and beat up drivers caused the driver to gun the car to escape the situation. Maybe after a few of these protestors will stop blocking roads.
Laws need to be put in place that protect the innocent drivers better... if a protester blocks a driver, he/she is on the hook for being an accessory to any crime that gets committed. Case in point being the attempted murder in Provo. If the protester gets hurt or killed when a driver has to speed away to protect him/herself, the protester not only has no case he/she is responsible for any damages that occur.
Their makeshift ‘barricade’ and standing behind it actually made the kidnappers reaction time almost zero.
Im not disturbed.
Good Job there Travis.
If the driver was charged and I on any jury I’d vote NOT guilty of anything.
Was the driver speeding? Or was he just doing 55-65 on a main artery. In my impression, that appeared to be an exit ramp and they blocked the main road with vans. Driver had a choice to smash into the vans, or try to thread into the ramp. Knowing that this would ruin his bumper, I saw that he did try to evade the protesters at the last millisecond. But he already expended his reaction time to avoid the Vans in the road. So protesters went flying off the front of the hood of his car.
Anybody with a functioning frontal lobe knew that it was only a matter of time before this would happen.
Play Stupid Games,
Win Stupid Prizes.
anyone know if they survived?
Was the driver hurt at all?
Did insurance cover that?
Out here in the boonies, we always figure it’s a Darwin thing when deer stand in the middle of the road at night.
Bump
Wow that’s gonna hurt.
Let’s see stand in street, get hit by car. Check
Just give them COVID-19 and send them to a nursing home.
according to police, the jag driver had somehow avoided police roadblocks and so is facing the possibility of felony charges
Bad parenting...
I don’t know about tbese morons, but my parents taught me to stay OUT of the road about age 4.
At least they won’t have to worry about brain damage...
Seems it would be a logical conclusion though. Stand in the road at night, van blocking drivers’ view...I would be thinking this can’t end well...
What do you do in that situation. You have “protesters” with a history of committing violent acts..do you stop and get out of your car? I think i would go about a mile down the road and call 911?
Disturbing? I wish. I’m not watching, because I’m sure I’ll be disappointed.
If only they had been wearing masks and stayed on the sidewalk......
Looks like he swung onto the shoulder to dodge the vans, and at the same time the women heard somebody yell there was a car coming and ran toward the same shoulder out of instinct to get out of the traffic lanes, when they should’ve run the other way and gotten behind the cover of the van.
Now I’m curious what the car was doing there in the first place. There was no other traffic, meaning either (a) the authorities had the road shut down further up to let the BLM types LARP safely on the Interstate, or (b) they were doing it at zero-dark-thirty when traffic was nonexistent and nobody would be around to see them do it. Either way is a big WTF from me. If (a), why are the police blocking off major arteries for these dweebs, and if (b), why bother protesting at 3 in the morning when nobody’s around to see it and you’re not inconveniencing anyone?
I read somewhere that the car was the subject of a police chase (either during or before when he went I-5 bowling) but I haven’t seen that confirmed.

Our group had BLT’s at the local taqueria last night. Note to protesters: Don’t block roads. I won’t stop. Oh, and by the way, we have Stand your ground in Texas, so don’t throw things. We don’t know what you’re throwing. After November, we need a national stand your ground law.
