No one “broadcasts” in 4K, but as you mentioned there’s plenty of 4K movie content. And it’ll definitely be compressed via streaming — it’s okay. Blu-Ray disks the best way to go if you have a RedBox nearby.

There’s a lot of movies moving to 4K UHD disc. The PS5 will support it natively, in the model with the disc player. That’s by far the best way to watch movies, far better than the streaming junk.

True. I used that term "broadcast" loosely to refer to legacy TV channels.
