Agreed. Let the “youngsters go get infected and avoid their grandparents for the few weeks or months for them to get through it.
My take is that old folks have self quarantined pretty much already. Some are very susceptible and others much less so.
I’m old and do not feel susceptible. My wife however is a different matter. The same is true of the many old folks I know. They are sticking pretty much close to home in a location pretty much open for business as usual.
This is a actually a good thing. Herd immunity will be built up even faster.

Covid-19 is more deadly than influenza at every age except for those age 19 and below.
In Maryland, about 1 in 583 people between ages 20 and 29 die from Covid-19 (last calculated Jun 29). (I expect the numbers to be similar elsewhere.) That is a high enough death rate that everyone in that age group is going to know a friend or a friend of a friend who dies from Covid-19. Of course, for every person who dies, several others end up in the hospital fighting for their lives; maybe after a few attendees of these parties spend quality time in the ICU, the parties will suddenly not be so popular. Not to mention the fact that every person who gets Covid-19 is a source of infection for anyone who might be around them. No, you cannot isolate (i.e. imprison) older people so that millennials can continue to indulge in their entitled lifestyles.
Also, what a way to make sure that lock downs and quarantines never end.

The goal of the Progs is to keep everyone in a perpetual state of fear. We went from slow the spread to stop the spread. Even slowing the spread was a dubious idea.
If you can prove you have immunity then tou should be free from all restrictions. But I will bet that we will soon be treated to no one is allowed the privileges of immunity until we all have immunity. It will be the next phase once the “oh my gawd look at all those cases” phase peters out whic replaces the “case fatality is %12 we are all gonna die” phase.

The circumstances are different but this reminds me of measles parties where parents intentionally exposed their kids to get it now as opposed to later.
