FedEx requests Washington Redskins change team name

FedEx has asked the Washington Redskins to officially change its name, long condemned as an anti-Indigenous slur.

The shipping company has communicated to the NFL team a request that it change its name, FedEx confirmed in a statement to NBC News on Thursday. FedEx owns the naming rights to the Maryland field where the NFL team plays and its chief executive, Fred Smith, owns a minority stake in the team.

I think FedEx may be using the issue as a way to bow out of the millions they spend on the failing NFL.

The BLM takeover of NASCAR, same thing - will be VERY surprised to see them renew the sponsorship of the 11 with Gibbs racing after that noose fiasco.

The District of Columbia shares borders with Maryland and Virginia, and connect with lands along the Anacostia and Potomac River. These river systems and current national parks are where the Piscataway, Pamunkey, the Nentego (Nanichoke), Mattaponi, Chickahominy, Monacan, and the Powhatan cultures thrived.

Change the name from Redskins to one of the tribe names above. Keep the colors and the symbol.
