Not saying you aren’t correct, but if Tejas is lost the Presidents bid for re-election just got extremely more difficult. Of course in my most humble opinion.

(Yesterday)
Stores in my area now require a mask, I told them that I could prove them WORTHLESS
Just Drag 2 employees to the Produce section (everybody wearing masks) have one stand 6’ away and another 12’ away ... grab an Orange and peel it ... ask if either can smell it (they both will) then explain to them that the Orange Oil Molecule is MORE than 10,000 times larger than a Virus ... their Mask DID NOTHING to keep them from smelling the Orange, it does LESS than Nothing to protect them from a Virus.
Less = Crowd Control which = Government Job #1
I am 65 years old and worry less about Corona than I do just about anything else.
Forced to wear a mask ... Yes... Payback is a stupid idiotic idea (You Crowd Control POS wannabes, I am taking names and I will not forget)
Remember 2021 is NOT an Election Year, this too shall pass

Trump has got to START LEADING! He’s got to call this nonsense out as the absolute bullshit ir is.

What is happening now with the “spiking” is what we knew and expected and predicted would happen when we flattened the curve and opened up again.

The media and the Democrats have turned the natural and expectable into a new “crisis”. So far they are winning and winning easily as we watch our lives and work go up in smoke.

Is there a source that you can pull this from quickly? I’ve graphed out the numbers myself based on the Texas Department of health service data, but if there’s a site that’s already doing it, that would definitely be more convenient.

Texas "gov" has received his marching orders directly after the operation to remove his remaining .

A better one, coordinated with Guv Albatross of Texas, happened in Galveston. Everyone with pre-booked rooms and condos were looking forward to a weekend of near-normalcy. At precisely the time when they could no longer CANCEL RESERVATIONS that cost a LOT of $$$$ for this weekend, the beaches were closed for the entire 4th weekend. Many folks got screwed, unable to cancel and now stuck in rooms and/or hotels.

The city of Galveston plans to close beaches from 5 a.m. Friday to 12:01 a.m. Monday, according to the mayoral order. No one may walk on or drive along the 30 or so miles of sand from East Beach to the San Luis Pass, including the beach at Boddeker Road, according to the order.

Can somebody explain for me why Trump will not, in any meaningful way, address the fact that hospitalizations, and deaths are almost flat?

**********************

Wants to avoid a “mission accomplished” fiasco in case the hospital and death trends reverse?

The orange smell test doesn't really tell you anything since the droplets that enable SARS-CoV-2 transmission are > 5-10 μm (https://asm.org/Articles/2020/April/COVID-19-Transmission-Dynamics) and particles of Limonene (the chemical responsible for that orange smell) are 1-5μm. The person I was replying to used a graph from the COVID Tracking Project, so I went to their site and grabbed it (https://covidtracking.com/data/state/texas).

You can also grab the data from Worldometers (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/texas/ just scroll down past all the counties and you find the graphs) or from the IHME (https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america/texas). All of them graph things, but I like the presentation for Worldometers and IHME a little better. Just easier to see what’s going on at different times.

It’s time to get organized. When the “conservative” governor of Texas does something like this, we see that the inevitable is coming.

Even if Trump pulls off a miracle, there’s no one with his capabilities to follow. So we buy four years (which would be most welcome).

But the inevitable great upheaval is coming.

We need to get organized, which means, I think, lots of loosely affiliated efforts which are directed at resisting The Empire. Eventually, when the conflict gets intense enough, the Rebel Force will need to get truly organized and allied. Following the historical pattern....

But with this news, clearly, the time has come.

see my post #92

you are right

And that is a good tactical goal, in the immediate term

but longer term, we need to get organized....and that means setting some short, medium and long term goals that can be pursued locally by normal people, depending on their available resources (capabilities, financial, time, etc.) and escalating up to larger goals and eventually we all need to coalesce around on Big Goal.

It may take ten years, but with this news.....it’s time to start.

This sucks...3 minutes and I’m huffing like I just ran the 50 yard dash. The mask reduces the oxygen I take in, very hard to breathe. I wonder if they’ll try to put me in jail if I refuse to wear the damn thing...

As I said elsewhere: he is essentially forced to show action.

Action in crisis = leadership.

Think about what would happen if he didn’t do something. The news, the opposition politics... It doesn’t matter, just do something to pretend you’re doing something.

But look at the bright side. We are not burning anyone at the stake because they are witches and caused this.
