This actually reflects very poorly on the Trump transition team.
Say what you want about the mutants in the Obama administration, but there is absolutely no reason for a U.S. citizen -- especially a member of an incoming administration -- to be working with foreign governments to undermine a U.S. vote at the United Nations.
If John Kerry was doing this, we'd be calling for his execution here on FR.
So you believe the incoming team should wait for inauguration day to start picking up the phones and introducing themselves to world leaders?
you forgot your /sarc tag

While I understand your problem with this kind of interference, and I would probably be someone on FR attacking Kerry for doing it, bear in mind that Obama’s machinations were occurring less than one month away from the installation of the new administration and if successful, the resolution could have posed significant, long term problems for the incoming president.
In other words, Flynn’s intervention might not had been justifiable except in the light of an eleventh hour attempt by Obama to effective sabotage Trump and tie his hands. So in this context I don’t see Flynn’s actions as being completely unwarranted.
And I think most other incoming administrations might well have done the same thing under the same circumstances.
You have a point, but:
1. It’s a weird system that we have, with the long delay before inauguration. I wonder what the practice has been for transitions over the past 200 years. I would put more stock in the actual practice than the dubious Logan Act. As you know John Kerry was doing this after he left power, and Ted Kennedy was attempting to collude during an election, both of which really do undermine the US.
2. As much as I believe the anti-Israel motivations of the Obama team, I think the whole reason for this last minute flurry of anti-Israel activity was precisely to lay a pretext for a Logan Act accusation so that they could get warrants top cover over the illegal spying they were doing during the campaign.
So the purpose of attacking Israel was merely to undermine the incoming administration. And it worked.
Hey genius. This is accepted work for an incoming administration. Since you brought up Kerry, he is still working with the Iranians to undermine the US. Take your diatribe somewhere else.
