On June 3, 2020, I was fired from my post as department chairman for publicly opposing and mocking the inherent terrorism of the Black Lives Matter movement. A doxxing-type petition arose against me early in the day; I was “canceled” before dinnertime.
Notably, unlike others who have faced similar forms of cancellation, I was not dismissed from a large secular state college or a public institution of secondary education, where capitulation to the mob is somewhat to be expected. This was a conservative, Catholic high school, whose theology department (which I chaired) rejects ab initio the ontological essentials of BLM .
In other words, most of the recent firings by openly Marxist employers—such as the Regents of the University of California—boil down to nondescript “dog bites man” ledes. But my narrative falls far closer to “man bites dog,” given the antipathy with which Roman Catholic theology has typically regarded the Marxist neo-terrorism that postconciliar parochial schools are lately endorsing or condoning.

When are we going to learn that you can’t feed alligators so they won’t eat you? They’re going to eat you.
Cancelling is a lot of fun. But as a student of history, I feel certain that one day someone who has been cancelled will repay them badly.
Take away all someone has and destroy them, and sometimes they get the same idea about you. When I see the inevitable on TV someday, I will not be the least bit sorry for the person learning the bitter lesson.

Tell me about it. Our son’s k-8 independent Catholic school has been worried about diversity and The Environment for years.
The new principal this year made sure to put out a self-flagellating announcement to all about white-shaming and how we have to be sensitive to our black brothers, etc.
Doesn’t surprise me from a non-nun who end every correspondence with “peace”. Right age range, too.
They will come for the Roman Catholics next (especially this little college), unless this brave pope is able to make an “protection” payment to them.
Eventually, employers are going to fear "cancelled" ex-employee mass shootings more than the Marxist terror mobs. It's only a matter of time.

Such a sad story, but also uplifting. Glad he’s not giving up the fight.
I got canceled from a volunteer job (!) that I had done/ led for ten years, AFTER I retired, for saying, in my farewell to the group, ‘I look forward to the time when the WuFlu has abated and we can again play music together.’ (I started to self-edit as I wrote, then thought - “I’ll be darned if I am going to let the Chinese Communist Party tell me how to speak’) The new president - whom I had taken over for 10 years before - called me and suggested SHE write my apology. She said ‘Some people complained that you hurt their feelings.” Fine - I didn’t have to sign it. Fine - I had already resigned. Still - great way to thank a volunteer.
I think if we gathered Canceled stories together, there would be the most gasp-worthy tales. It’s truly vicious.
I have planned.financially for this to eventually to happen to me. I suggest you do as well.
Then, plan your response. I trust everyone will choose to fight back against the organizations and people who gave in to the mob.

Folks, we need to understand that the November election is not just political, this one is existential, it is for the survival of a free America. If we lose in November, the Fascists will seize the rolls of Free Republic and every other Conservative Internet site and come for the individuals on those sites to destroy their lives as they did Timothy J. Gordon. They are not the opposition, they are the enemy and acolytes of the devil.

I have been saying this for quite sometime. Some dude, is going to decide he isn’t going to put up with it anymore, and is just going to start blasting away.
It looks like someone asked him how he could support shooting looters and still say that Chauvin should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
He replied:
Due process. It’s just the long-standing nature of force: when terrorists actively present a clear, present danger to innocents, lethal force is just.

People were offended that he referred to BLM “protestors” as terrorists.
It also doesn’t name the school. That would make him more credible.
