A piece published by Time raised eyebrows after calling for a cultural reckoning of how superheroes are depicted amid the national dialogue that has cracked down on how TV shows and films portray police and law enforcement.
Time writer Eliana Dockterman began the piece -- titled "We're Re-examining How We Portray Cops Onscreen. Now It's Time to Talk About Superheroes" -- by noting the recent cancellations of "Cops" and "Live PD" following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, and how even "Paw Patrol" has become a target.
"But as we engage in this long overdue conversation about law enforcement, its high time we also talk about the most popular characters in film, the ones who decide the parameters of justice and often enact them with violence: superheroes," Dockterman wrote Monday.
She described superheroes as "cops with capes who enact justice with their powers" who are usually "straight, white men who either function as an extension of a broken U.S. justice system or as vigilantes without any checks on their powers."

The whole “I can’t breathe!” thing reminds me of a comic who used it as a line to describe his younger brother. They’d wrestle and as soon as big brother got the upper hand, his younger brother would scream, “I can’t breathe!” and his mother, no matter where she was in the house, would come charging in and put the whup on big brother. Then he’d be confined to his room with the door closed. Younger brother would then taunt him (”You’re in truh-bul!”) and wiggle a finger under the closed door. Older brother would grab the finger, younger would shout “I can’t breathe!” and then mom would come back to put the hurt on HIM!
I’ve been following the collapse of the comic book industry for months now.
I’ve also been following the rise of the Fandom Menace, a few intrepid YouTubers who are defying Google’s cancel culture and attacking the SJW’s with savage sarcasm.
The last report I got was, “Snowflake and Safespace” have been postponed indefinitely.
They do know that super heroes are not real.

Not big into comic books, but I do find the subject of the comic book industry interesting. Many months back I stumbled into the Nerdrotic YouTube channel where the fellow Gary does interesting video casts on the comic book industry and sci-fi TV and Movies. That’s were I learned about the crazy SJWs taking over the comic book industry.

These idiots don’t know they are being used. They think they are going to get their Utopia, but they are going to get a concentration camp. Very sad for America.
The irony, to me, as I understand it, is that the deconstructing and reconstructing of superheroes has been going on for awhile. Captain stared hating America years and years ago. That lady is way late to the wokeness on that front.
He’s her pet human.
Superheros will be radical activists, drug dealers, pimps and gangbangers
I don’t read comics, though I did back in my youth. But I’m interested in the way SJWs have infested them and video games, ruining them utterly and calling anyone upset at that a racist homophobic misogynistic mouth breathing scumbag, and how the geek culture have become massively anti-SJW as a result. It’s one aspect of the culture war that, for the most part, youtube doesn’t shut down in favor of the left. Yet.
Well, not to be a spoiler for a 7 year old movie, but Superman, Kal-El, put General Zod in a choke hold, and while Zod was shooting his heat vision rays at a family, Superman broke his neck to save the American family.
First they came for the superhero comic books...
One thing that you can be sure of about the left. Totalitarian means to go all out.
There have been several prominent Youtubers who have been cancelled by the SJW's, and it has had two effects:
1. The 'blue-check-marks' of the Left have become emboldened to bring their brand of communism to the far corners of the web; and
2. The ranks of the Fandom Menace have swelled because the barbarians are not just at the gates, they're inside the walls.
Not sure what they are bitchin’ about. They have a bisexual Queen Maeve in “The Boys”, a black Black Panther and Nick Fury in the Marvel Comic Universe, and Black Noir (again in “The Boys”), a lesbian Batwoman, and scores of other less powerful gay and lesbian superheros. Why, even the Green Skin people are represented in The Hulk.
