Apparently Tipton conceded
Well, your local paper describes Lauren Boebert as a rightwing firebrand so that sounds good to me. And Im liking both that shes from Rifle, Colorado and that she is, most definitely, NOT GUILTY!
How are the recent BLM transferees from DC doing?
[This morning, the talk was about how Tipton couldn’t lose.]
Excellent. Should be a lot of sad faces around the water cooler.
Or is that the coffee machine?
Don’t be too smug. I don’t want you to be a victim of the next round of job losses.
Western slope
Gods country
Tipton won by about 8% in 2018. Can this lady keep the seat? Is it turning blue?

Enjoy tomorrow...
This seat has never been totally safe Republican. We could lose it in November.
“The front range is lost to the disease that is liberalism, but the move towards freedom and securing the blessings of liberty are alive and well in the Grand Valley.”
Great thought! But Denver and Boulder control the whole state. They will take the Western Slope down with vengeance. The next four years are going to be really really nasty for those of us who are not woke in CO.
Lauren’s win was a lonely bright spot in Colorado tonight. The Republican caucus in the legislature lurched hard to the left tonight with obscene infusions of out of state money into state house races — much of it from Hillary Clinton mega-donors. And the Democrat majority caucus is already so far to the left that I can’t even see the fringes.
We either need to get out of the state or prepare to be rode hard and put away wet. Over and over.
I’m jealous.
My choice is between two democRats in November.
Was Tipton a RINO? If not, what led to his defeat and how safe is the district?
Work for the media?
I’m an old reporter/editor myself — retired, thank God, after 25 years in the biz.
Keep your head down, just like I had to.
I can tell you that they purged every conservative/libertarian our of my last newsroom when Obama got elected.
I had already made plans to take early retirement because my mother’s health was failing and there was nobody else in the family to take care of her. So I was glad to leave.
As for editorial meetings, I was always the quietest guy in the room. Going out on assignment was usually a pleasure — meet interesting people, see interesting things. But even covering a zoning commission meeting was better than having to sit around a table with a bunch of liberal journos — and, truth to tell, some token conservatives as well.
Actually, the most abusive boss I worked for was a self-styled conservative. But that’s another story ... I’ll leave him to the Lord’s justice.
I promised I’d never use my writing to frighten or bully people, and I believe I kept that promise for 25 years.
