Signalling that it is all for peaceful restoration of status quo ante in East Ladakh but is also prepared for the worst case scenario, the Indian Army has deployed six T-90 missile firing tanks and top-of-the-line shoulder fired anti-tank missile systems in the Galwan Valley sector. The senior military commanders from India and China are meeting at Chushul on Tuesday to work out the de-escalation and disengagement process on mutual terms.
\
The army's decision to deploy the T-90 Bishma tanks was taken after the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) had beefed up its positions on the river bed with armoured personnel carriers and troop tents. The Indian Army is occupying the dominant heights in the sector within its side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
nfantry combat vehicles along with 155mm howitzers have been deployed all along 1597 km long LAC in East Ladakh with two tank regiments deployed in Chushul sector to repel any aggressive plans of the adversary through the Spanggur Gap. While Chinese PLA wants to make a deal on the LAC in this sector as part of withdrawal, the Indian Army is no mood to give an inch as the military aggression came from the Western Theatre Command of China with the intention of redefining the LAC.

Apparently they are the only ones who have faith in your local community to keep such a business going.
Why dont the whites in your area get off their butts and do such work?
I’ve spent time in hotels owned and run by Indians. The ones I have stayed at were clean and the staff polite and personable.
I have seen some that were in bad parts of towns run by Indians. They seem to make a living there when everyone else gives up.
Yeah, a signup date of June 21, 2020.
I predict a zot in their future.
They exist in the lowest cost hotels in the US for the reasons that foreigners (as a whole) buy up bodegas and convenience stores in bad areas - they are affordable. For many, a trip to the US with our welfare is a better living than what they enjoyed back in their homeland, even with the crime.
You’re thinking what I’m thinking. Bitching about ethnic groups, naming themselves “While Lives Matter,” that does seem trollish, does it not?
I disagree, one of the things I am detecting is that even Democrats are understanding that China is up to no good. While this dispute is not a direct concern of ours, it does provide an opportunity to improve our relationship with India.
China threatens both our interests, and we can help each other, sell arms, trade information, etc... short of getting involved with their border dispute.
please back up your allegations with some data. I bet you will find very few Hindu Indians and far fewer Patels on the welfare rolls. Welfare is akin to begging and a shame to the community and therefore that community will always pull you up unless you are a junkie, possibly even then.
Patels are Hindus, not ROP.
There was an article here about China bringing up its new light tanks made and designed for mountain use. The Chinese have a variety of condition-specialized tracked vehicles.
“that does seem trollish, does it not?”
Yes, we’re on the same page.
It is an election year and our opposites are flailing about causing conflict wherever possible. He/she/it can’t get the zot quick enough for me.
This one needs a close watch.
Exactly (and I have copied WLM). Very recent join date, interesting name (not that white lives dont matter - they do matter, like all lives do, and by the way I am black), he/she makes certain types of posts focused on how disgusting it is that a certain ethnic group controls businesses in an area, etc. During an election year such things do happen, and have happened in the past, and he/she could easily be a troll trying to get FReepers to respond in the affirmative to his/her posts.
T90s are no joke. Not quite M1A2 quality but not half bad.
Chain migration is real and over 1 million people a year are migrating to the US. The genesis of this was from a change in a single law back in 1965 that eliminated a cap on how many could be legitimately sponsored for Green Cards. Once you have a card, you are quickly able to apply for citizenship, which also had no limits.

As that post states, we have had no merit requirements, like Canada and other countries have. I have a friend that was a pharmacist in his country and had a just gotten a Masters degree from a top US university who was helped with two years on a USAID scholarship and Canada was only considering him and not his wife or kids! Canada (and many other countries) has greatly disallowed chain migration.
The problem with immigration from south of our border is that they generally come illegally.
Of course, H-1B visas and the like have not been properly policed to meet the actual original intent.
Interestingly, none of this is the fault of the immigrants who come here legally. They are merely following our laws and doing what is best for them and their families.
The fault is with our own laws or the enforcement of our laws.
Welfare access is not supposed to be allowed. I have an extended family member from another country and the USCIS mandated the family had to show it could handle all financial needs, as welfare of any sort was not allowed. Unfortunately, there are plenty of opportunities to evade that and even illegal immigrants get welfare. The extended family never used welfare, but then they also had no other country to flee to if they did something that could be found to be illegal. All other immigrants typically do.
Immigrants rarely give up their prior citizenshipincluding my extended family member. Typically, it is due to preferential treatment they can have as they deal with their aging parents. I do believe that dual citizenship leaves people with dual allegiances by definition. This, along with other considerations, further restricts the speed of assimilation into the US to where the immigrant now has more understanding of the responsibility of the tax and social concerns and can help the US via voting for healthy changes.
My friends are from Gujarat, where I believe that PM Modi hails from.
Regarding the ROP, I have seen and encountered outright fraud only to experience city officials not seem to care at all ...
Very and is a common practice by some "liberals" on social media. Not a surprise in the least. The target is also interesting, the Patels who were responsible for two of the largest rallies involving Trump & Modi - the Howdy Modi rally where 50,000 turned up and a rally during President Trump's visit to India where approximately 120,000 turned up. A screenshot of "this is what they really think of you" might be what some might aim for.
Not true with Indian immigrants who have to give up their Indian citizenship if they wish to take another. India does not allow dual citizenship for the very reason you mentioned. A point specifically regarding Indians taking advantage of welfare (I understand that you made a very general point, not necessarily directed at Indians), it may happen but it is pretty uncommon. This is the ethnic group that has the highest median income of any in the U.S.
