Those witnesses who lied about their observations should be charged for giving false testimony during a police investigation.
Haven’t looked into the specifics of this case, but, having been an ear-witness to a shooting, recently, Incan arrest that people in the heat of a shooting incident may not recount things as they actually happened. The process of interviewing and sorting things out through a grand jury will get to a better picture of whatt actually happened.
