An attorney for the whistleblower who sparked President Trump’s impeachment now says he has two clients prepared to sue if the Trump administration follows through with sanctions against the International Criminal Court.
Mark Zaid told The Post he represents a pair of US law professors who intend to file a lawsuit if sanctions prohibit or criminalize their pro bono advisory work.
Trump signed an executive order this month that allows sanctions against anyone involved in an ICC investigation of Americans or US allies.
The order was issued in response to a decision from the court’s appeals chamber that authorized an investigation of possible Afghanistan war crimes, rebuffing previous US warnings.

This is almost as funny as Iran issuing an arrest warrant for President Trump.
He first appeared in the Haditha marines case supposedly on their side... I suspect that was a foiled setup for trying to use that case to open the doors for the ICC ...then he appears in the Vindman /Ukraine case .
And most recently he appears in the case of the 51 former intel officials’ letter where they downplayed Hunter Biden’s laptop.
He is partners with a guy the press rarely mentions, Andrew Bakaj:

In Unchecked: The Untold Story Behind Congress’s Botched Impeachments of Donald Trump, authors Rachael Bade and Karoun Demirjian reveal a meeting between the whistleblower’s attorney, Andrew Bakaj, and lawyers working for the House Select Committee on Intelligence. This occurred in the run-up to the fall 2019 launch of an impeachment inquiry into Trump over allegations he demanded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to initiate corruption investigations into now-President Joe Biden in exchange for U.S. military aid already promised to Kyiv.

That reminds me, George Washington U was the school attended by Andrew Bakaj, a CIA “whistleblower” lawyer of Compass Rose along with Mark Zaid (who was involved with the weird Haditha marines case, among other events.)
Andrew Bakaj has an interesting connection I never noticed ... to Ukraine way back in 2002.
“According to his Linkedin profile, Bakaj was an intern at the U.S. State Department from June 2002 to August 2002 at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine. He, “Created the Embassy’s fraud database, performed various counter-fraud duties, interviewed visa candidates, translated official Ukrainian/Russian documents into English, and represented official U.S. interests at various events throughout Ukraine.”
