China authorities have forced Uighur Muslims to eat pork dumplings during a traditional Han festival to eradicate the minority group's own cultural, according to activists. Beijing's officials served the forbidden food items to residents in Xinjiang, and those who refused to consume them would be sent into re-education camps, the World Uyghur Congress claimed. The news comes as the Chinese government is accused of carrying out 'demographic genocide' against the Uighur Muslim population by allegedly forcing birth control onto local women.

hmm I think this is too messy a problem for the left to deal with so....ignore.
China’s persecution against its Uighur Muslims may not concern some on FR as we do know some of the Muslim faith are as harsh against America and our ways/belief as is China.
But, Red China is persecuting Christians in China as well as the Uighur Muslims and that is a sad practice for us to object to.
Quite frankly, I don’t buy this. Totally unfeasible in Xinjiang, a massive city with a massive Muslim population. Uighurs, many of whom are extremist Muslims, are also capable of propaganda.
While I despise Islam, Muslims are human beings and have a right to exist and follow the teachings of their false prophet as long as it doesn’t impinge on the rest of the world (bombings, attacks, etc.).
But for China - or Cuba, which is the role model for BLM - all rights and the only rights belong to the State. Soon to be the case here in the US, I fear.
Uighurs are Muslims, so China is only practicing self-preservation. Starting 9/12/2001 we should have deported all non-citizen Muslims and placed surveillance on all citizen Muslims. We didn’t and we will pay the price.

Obviously China understands quite well that multiculturalism and too much diversity doesn’t work.
Perhaps the means are a bit draconian but the goal of getting rid of multiculturalism is in their best long term interest.
Maybe a more humane solution would be to give the Uyghurs their own state.

That is true. Perhaps the era of large multi-ethnic, multicultural nations should be over. Without a widely accepted national culture a nation can no longer remain whole. Better to go the way of Yugoslavia and the soviet union. It’s either that or constant unrest and civil wars.

This in a minding you own business issue..if a Muslim doesn’t want to eat pork and they are not trying to stop me from eating it.. they they have ever right to not eat pork..and no one should force them.. it no different then a vegetarian ..if it not huring you its not your business

Our Deep State seems to think they can opportunistically patner with China to take over the world. But IMO the CCP’s ultimate plan will be to preserve the world for racially Chinese inhabitants only.
Why not just demand that majority muslim states take these people in? Problem solved.
