IMO we are well beyond contract tracing. The virus has spread so widely that we should just concentrate on protecting the most vulnerable and let the virus spread to develop herd immunity. We can deal with bolstering the healthcare facilities in hot spots.

Despite the increases in cases, the death rates continue to decline. The MSM is inciting hysteria over FL and TX. But putting it into context, more people have died of COVID in NY nursing homes alone than the total number of deaths from COVID in FL and TX combined.

Here is an interesting perspective with what is going on with the new “ USA hot spots”.

Evidence continues to mount that spikes in Covid cases in U.S. border states are due to successive waves of infected people fleeing Mexico’s dysfunctional and overwhelmed hospitals to get American medical care at least as much, if not more than, to the re-opening of those states’ economies.

States appear to be transporting many to interior facilities to keep bed space free on the border as the influx continues, adding to the impression that these imported patients were infected inside the United States due to lifting lock-downs rather than in Mexico, where few social distancing measures were implemented.

As always good stuff. Also saw somewhere that 43 % of the deaths that have occurred are in nursing homes . Not unexpected as that community comes in with pre existing conditions and caregivers coming in could infect someone if not pre screened .

Have relatives in an assisted living facility. They are tested weekly, and we have not been able to face to face visit with them for months now. Managed properly, unlike NYC, that population can be protected...

I agree. Everyone should take reasonable precautions (don't want to debate that again), but expect the virus to achieve more spreading events and even super spreading events. It really is up to everyone to keep the rate of spread manageable, and there's not a thing the government can or should do.

I've mentioned before that it's very contagious, but not very deadly. The masks only slow down our ability to develop immunity. I doubt there will ever be an effective "vaccine".

We can deal with bolstering the healthcare facilities in hot spots.

Which is exactly what we should have been doing after the first month, instead of the FauXi "Dempanic". He needs to go to jail for what he did to The People's small business economy.

(The hospitals were never "overwhelmed")

Despite the increases in cases, the death rates continue to decline.

This is the only statistic worth paying attention to. We might as well assume everyone will eventually be exposed.

The MSM is inciting hysteria over FL and TX.

RATagandist voter manipulation through fear mongering.

But putting it into context, more people have died of COVID in NY nursing homes alone than the total number of deaths from COVID in FL and TX combined.

The mass murderers in NY and NJ should be prosecuted for weaponizing the disease and attacking the vulnerable patients.
