MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Kansas State is launching an immediate review of the universitys options after a tweet by a student making light of the death of George Floyd.
Jaden McNiel, whose Twitter bio identifies him as the president and founder of America First Students, wrote: Congratulations to George Floyd on being drug free for an entire month!

its not permitted to poke fun at St. George.
its not permitted to poke fun at St. George.
its not permitted to poke fun at St. George.
He should do an apology tweet that says: “I’m sorry for insinuating George has quit doing drugs, it’s a well known fact that getting off of drugs is not easy. He’s probably still Jonesin’ for a fix. My mistake.”
First Amendment was repealed in March and in any case never applied to university campuses or students.
Kansas State is the government.
the truth can also be funny
Its legally required at public universities.
Nope. They’re an admissions based institution who has a voluntary relationship with students and are free to terminate that relationship for various reasons. Including conduct they deem detrimental to the image of the institution.
by all accounts his life experiences are not what constitute a normal good citizens’ life
they know it
we know it
so deal with it
Reading the replies on Twitter is enlightening. Disturbing, but enlightening. This is the truth in the hearts of so many. Evil is among us.
They accuse the kid of racism. What did he say that was racist? Nothing! That is the trope now. White person opens his mouth....racism!!! How much longer before serious and regrettable pushback starts?
“Disgusting and Inappropriate” - what else are college kids good for?
It'll start with doxxing, then death threats...
What color chip did George get?
“My name is George and I’ve been sober for a month.”
“Hello, George!”
Thats a state university. They cant legally punish him for that comment. But then they will anyway.
BTW that post was pretty funny. A perfect blend of dark humor, irony and satire. He is fully qualified to be a reporter for the Babylon Bee.
Burning the flag is ok. But burning the flag is a symbolic threat to the lives, property, and freedom of the people who revere that flag, and consider it a symbol of their country’s existence.
If burning the flag is ok, why is stating the obvious condition of a man who is deceased, somehow wrong. It is in poor taste, and will anger some, but so what?
If saying “Congratulations to George Floyd on being drug free for any entire month” angers people, why are those who are angered more important than we are, who are angered by the threat implied in flag burning? This question will not be honestly answered, as per usual.
Completely tasteless and unacceptable, unless Dave Chappelle said it.
Don't use a choke hold or a gun if up fight back; I suggest the use of a deadly virus, hell China can kill millions and, well, no problem, not even a wrist slap (well except for the Indians, they don't take shit from the chicoms).
