In popular culture, children are almost always much smarter than adults. I find that pretty annoying.

In the same way, commercials always show the Man to be an idiot, while his Very Competent Wife manages to save the day every time. Also annoying.

God Bless Danny Thomas for so much he gave to our society in his time here on this Earth, but a long time peeve of mine was always the smart-mouths of those kids on his show. If I’d have talked to my parents the way those kids did on that show I’d have been knocked across the room.
