We may be hopelessly Balkanized and demotivated at this point. It may even take the rise of the identarians or ethnonationalists to mainstream politics to rekindle the Right. The Left already have theirs and they are not ashamed to proclaim their identity very loudly, while we virtue signal and cower. That cure may be like a round of strong chemo, almost as bad as the disease itself. It may even prove the idea of a “proposition nation” as it was founded, totally unworkable. The brutal truth is, tribalism works, as it has for the past 4000 years. It is a very basic, primeval mechanism. All attempts to replace it seem to lead to globalism or globalism lite.
Old school American conservatism is dead, after being defanged of not-so savory (but yet so necessary “extremists”) by W. F. Buckley. It could not even conserve the ladies room for ladies use.
Mainstream conservatives have jobs, mortgages and are afraid of a simple assault conviction, that could ruin their life and their family. How many Karens will stand behind their husbands if they lose their job and put the middle class lifestyle in jeopardy?
All this talk about “but we have guns” is talk, talk, talk.

It’s one reason Poland has become a very attractive destination for me. Even though my ancestors came here over a hundred years ago, I’ve always had a strong affinity for Polish culture and history.

I think your assessment is quite accurate. I would only suggest that Balkanization may be the only think that saves us. To live with these Marxists means to live under their tyranny. They certainly won’t live under our thumb either. If we are to live together one must live under the boot of the other. So far, it’s clear their boot iOS on our necks. Some degree of geographic, social and political separation seems attractive. However, while they hate us they love our resources so they may not let us go.
Agree with your statement regarding the guns being all bluster. I think 90-95% will turn their guns in with the slightest pressure to do so. I did not think that a mere 120 days ago. It’s clear all they have to do is make gun ownership = racism and the average American will gladly sacrifice their firearms on that altar.
Not sure what the path forward is for us but I am sure that we need one and it’s not apparent.
