Barriers have been erected around Abraham Lincoln's emancipation memorial in Washington DC after protesters, angry that the freed blacks who funded the sculpture had no say in the design, have pledged to tear it down.
The Emancipation Memorial in Washington DC depicts a freed slave kneeling at Abraham Lincoln's feet.
Critics said the statue, originally constructed in 1876 to celebrate liberation, looks more like black subservience and white supremacy in 2020.

'We're kicking off the revolution with a series of shutting down the Capitol events and bringing attention to the injustices in the black community starting with Lincoln Park, a statue that embodies the racial undertones of black people being inferior to white people,' The Freedom Neighborhood said in a social media post. The group added that they would not be working with police to enact the change 'nor will we seek any relationship with them'.

They CLEARLY state they are starting a revolution. Lying revolutionaries. They should be shot when they riot/loot. Their OWN WORDS condemn them. They see the slave kneeling as not being freed by Lincoln but in SUBSERVIENCE. They want all to kneel in subservience to them. Traitors. I will literally die before I kneel before any of them.
Trump chose a good hill to fight on. This was the perfect monument to defend.
Protestors dont destroy things.
Destroying stuff makes the rioters.
Rioters should be shot on sight.
“I will literally die before I kneel before any of them.”
You’re not alone,
Maybe they should replace the slave with a kneeling Colin Kaepernick? That way, it wouldn't be black subservience!
Yeah? Funny how they don’t think taking a knee during The National Anthem smacks of subservience.
Rioter: "Oh .... nevermind ...."
Ha haaa!!! GMTA! You beat me by 8 seconds. Say, wasn’t that Colin Kapernicks jersey number? Maybe somebody can put a 49ers uniform on the slave in that statue. Problem solved!
‘Critics said the statue, originally constructed in 1876 to celebrate liberation, looks more like black subservience and white supremacy in 2020.’
in 2020, blacks getting paid multi millions of dollars annually for playing a boy’s recess game looks like black subservience and white supremacy...
‘The group added that they would not be working with police to enact the change ‘nor will we seek any relationship with them’.’
and the overriding necessity that these people’s ancestors be brought over was what again...?
Trump can’t save us on his own. We need to decide to live on our feet or die on our knees. There should be lethal force used to stop the destroy society anarchists.
Famous white supremacist Abraham Lincoln.
I have a solution. If there’s a statue, sculpture, or other piece of public art you dislike, don’t go look at it. I know this will help, because it works for me every time.
You’re welcome.
The freed slave is kneeling because he just had his bonds broken and is in the process of getting up.
Now do Kaepernick, the NFL, NBA, Women’s Soccer . . .
Subservient?
And, Human nature being what it is, you naturally value something given to you less than something you had to work and fight for.
It is amazing how quickly and willingly Americans are giving away their heritage to the marxist BLM movement. They remain ignorant to the fact that their freedoms are next.
Tobacco, cotton....
Blame their masters that they valued their slaves as investments rather than work them to death or else just castrate the men and kill all the offspring produced by raping women the way folks did elsewhere.
To be blunt because of that there wasnt quite the overriding necessity you speak of. The colonies were not the destination for most people kidnapped by Muslim slavers in Africa.
facts don’t matter- only perceptions matter apparently
