They must all travel in the same circles as I do.

How many ‘Americans’ did they poll?

Did they ask 1 million and 989 thousand said yes?

How many said yes just to seemingly act ‘cool’?

How many said no just to seemingly act ‘rebellious’?

Looks like the old if an R wins 50-40 it is ‘too close to call’ and if a D wins 50.6-49.4 it is a landslide victory, wrap up your SCHIFF and go home.

I have yet to be questioned about it and am prepared to tell them

“I have a condition that precludes me wearing a mask”

While they google preclude, I walk on in.

Also ‘promise’ to remind them of the ADA and do they really want to deny me entry and face a possible suit because I have a disability.

(OH, the same (non) law that says we HAVE to wear one also say ‘they’ can’t question what your condition is)

More loopholes than meat ....

You treat freedom like a minor issue in quotes. I will not submit to this attempt by others to take over my body.

I see plenty of people not wearing makes in my area of western NY. Sometimes up to 50%. I have not worn one in a store since the beginning May. I have never been challenged or have seen people being challenged to put on a mask.

The only place I have worn one is at the doctor’s or pharmacy. That’s where the sick people are.

My take is that if you breathe in a little virus or bacteria from time to time, your immune system learns to deal with it. That makes you able to fight off or reduce the effect most infectious diseases. It seems to work for me with the flu when every year I am surrounded with people that get it and I don’t. Even when they stand in my office coughing and sneezing.

I’m not sure where you live. Walmart in Aberdeen isn’t enforcing masks. Neither does the Home Depot.

Please join ReopenMD on Facebook and support the federal lawsuit against Lockdown Larry. It’s at the Court of Appeals and they need more money to pay the attorneys.

This level of lawsuit is way beyond Pro bono

I go out of my way to not wear a Government Mind Control Face Burka, but when I do have to, it’s my Trump 2020 mask

89% of Americans wear masks in public as the coronavirus pandemic persists //// If they can get the other 11% to wear a mask in public, we might be able to beat this thing by Christmas

You may think you know how to wear a mask properly; however, "wearing a mask properly" is but one factor in its effectiveness. If any of the following criteria are not considered fully, a mask will be as completely ineffective in "stopping the spread of a virus" as would a face-mounted handkerchief (i.e., a cloth scarf or, if you prefer, a daylong snot rag). These critical factors include the following:

-- A mask must be properly selected to address the specific threat. Its design and construction are critical factors, particularly if its intended use is to protect against a virus;

-- A properly selected mask must then be properly applied and fit-tested (preferably by a professional hygienist) to form a tight seal along its entire interface with the wearer's skin. There can be no facial hair or other obstructions at any point along the mask/skin interface;

-- Although you off-handedly dismiss the criterion for wearing a mask as "it's not hard", it is in fact difficult to do so properly. During the entire time the properly selected and applied/fit tested mask is worn, it cannot be disturbed even if your nose itches or it becomes uncomfortable in the heat or even if you cough or sneeze a giant wad of body goo into it. If you lift the mask from your face or otherwise move it you break the seal and you must re-apply and fit test it ... but only if you want it to be effective (if you wear a mask only for "show" -- to send a visual message to the rabble of just how "socially responsible" you are);

-- Finally, to maintain the integrity of the properly selected, properly applied and fit-tested, and properly worn mask, you must regularly replace after each use. Alternatively, you must wash it following each and every use (but only if it is designed and constructed of the appropriate materials) so that you are not wearing -- and spreading -- contamination that has adhered to the inner and outer surfaces of the mask.

A mask enthusiast such as yourself surely must be fully aware these essential factors -- and properly and consistently apply them -- or else "the gene pool might be better without you".

However, I must acknowledge the "socially responsible" actions being taken -- in blissful ignorance -- by the couple hundred million mask-wearers who do not follow these OSHA guidelines and wear their masks improperly (scarf-wearing is not worthy of serious consideration as a method of controlling a virus). By containing their increasingly irrational fear of germs and being brave enough to venture outdoors around other people (all the while maintaining, of course, the mandated 12-foot diameter "safe space" apart from every other human being) because they're wearing a mask, the ineffectiveness of the mask caused by improper selection, improper application/fit-testing, improper wearing and/or improper maintenance of the mask does help spread the virus and accelerate widespread development of antibodies throughout the population. This is a very good and very necessary thing to do ... so please, acquiesce to the commands of your local politician to "wear a mask" to "control the spread of The Virus" and carry on! Cheers!

"But EVERYONE wore a mask.

Everyone.

I think that is what worked.
"

Yes. Even poorly worn masks act as baffles that keep the virus from travelling as far in great quantities. People receive lighter viral loads--very important.

It's also important in another way. With people wearing masks against a strain that causes more noticeable symptoms, only strains that cause milder symptoms are allowed to spread much. Antibodies from weaker strains can also sometimes prevent strong symptoms from more dangerous strains (seen in influenza).

Contrary to the article posted above this thread, very few Americans are wearing masks. Even fewer in rural and small town areas. Case numbers are beginning to increase rapidly again.

Yeah fake poll.

In a lot of states including this one they won’t let you in the door of a supermarket without a mask. So you are forced to wear one at some point.

Case numbers are beginning to increase rapidly again.

But the mortality rates are going DOWN. A fact conveniently omitted from every discussion of this. The goal all along was to bend the curve and keep hospitals from being overrun. There is actually no way to stop the spread of the virus.

Nonsense. The numbers show that countries which mandated mask use early had the best results.
