I will miss Sunday racing, but after what just happened I don’t know if I can support Nascar any longer.
It sure was real...Wasn’t a whole lot on money in it back then except for the factory drivers...All us independent teams were just normal everyday working people...

Ray Williams bought Bill Seifert’s second car in 1970...Didn’t have a sponsor...
Thursday afternoon, he pulls into the garage area at Atlanta and comes over to uss all ecited...
he says “I got a sponsor!!!”
I asked him who he got and he said to come look at his car...We went over and he pulled the car cover of and there on the rear fender is a huge Bali Hi Wine decal...
I ask how much money he got and he said “Well, not a whole lot, but look here...”
He opened his truck and there was stacked case upon case of Bali Hi wine...
Can you imagine what that garage area looked like about two, three hours later???
It was a hoot!!!!!
