That strategy originated with New Left anti- Vietnam War protesters back in the Sixties. The battle cry was “Chicks up front!”
I was there and rarely saw that. When NYPD’s Tactical Patrol Force forced entry into the Admin blog the guys all got serious lumps on their heads. I saw them coming out as I was carrying a Craig tape recorder and reporting for Fordham’s WFUV.
