I think it was a message to Judge Sullivan that they’re about to start ignoring his gag order.

Which is likely a big part of Sullivan's immediate plan. Think Flynn would be safe in jail?

I think if Flynn violates the gag order Powell immediately goes back to the appeals court with a complaint that they had already ordered Sullivan to drop the case.

If that got stupid for any reason Trump has the option of pardoning him on the contempt only.

The Flynn persecution tactics (and strategy) are designed to keep him quiet. That’s what the entire case is about. He’s the man who knows too much.

And sHrillary says "I know how to take care of this!"

I hope Flynn has protection.

I whole-heartedly agree with your conclusion, and think it would be a YUGE mistake for Trump, Barr, and others to go after Obama.
No matter what he did, as the first Black president, he stands— in the minds of MILLIONS of voters— on such a high pedestal that any Republican effort to knock him off it—legally or politically— could result in a catastrophic backlash that would ensure a Biden victory in November.

I had the opportunity to meet Sydney Powell in February and I asked her how many lawyers besides herself were working on the Flynn case.

She said that it was herself and an assistant who job was to dig into the precedent cases to back up her arguments.

Sullivan has shown studied indifference toward the corruption of the original prosecutors and Flynn’s original lawyers. I don’t see that changing.

He can, yes. But I think not. I'm on my tablet now, so it's tough to search. As I recall, when the circuit court ordered the hearing for this writ, they asked Sullivan to reșpond specifically to their recent precedent on this very issue.

I believe it's done. En banc will be declined and if Sullivan doesn't act, you'll see Powell before the circuit court with a new pleading.
