The Age of No Reason

The age of reason was an important time in world history, when human beings made great strides in understanding the world around them and advanced the idea that logic matters, rational thought matters. Now reason and logic are out of fashion, replaced with, well, nothing. At least nothing that requires intelligence or rational thought. We are living in a time born from the hippie idea of “if it feels good, do it.” This bastard child of the 60s has given us the age of “no reason.”

The killing of George Floyd was a unifying moment; no one looked at that video and thought what happened was fine or acceptable. Had the discussion focused on punishing the officers involved and making sure nothing like that ever happened again, it could have been handled in a week. But addressing something horrible doesn’t afford Democrats the ability to campaign on it; it doesn’t allow for the fomenting of outrage, nor does it help advance any number of left-wing agenda items. So all that goodwill and unity was purposely squandered and replaced by anger over lies.

The statistics of “police killing black men at will” are so well known and obvious they aren’t worth repeating here. If someone is inclined to believe what is patently untrue, you’re not likely to talk them out of it. A committed “flat Earther” will ignore anything inconvenient that challenges what they want reality to be.

That being said, the mob mentality this time has reached new depths of stupid. In a frenzy, people do really dumb things. But to rip down statues of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, and other well-known abolitionists in the name of “racial equality” makes those flat Earthers seem like Copernicus.

It’s a sign of just how bad the education system has gotten, as this whole mess is. Smart people do dumb things, but educated, rational people don’t do irrational things. These mobs are nothing if not irrational (on top of violent).

If it’s bronze, it must be destroyed. If the statue is of someone white, they are guilty. Teddy Roosevelt riding a horse with an African and a Native American walking beside him? That’s racist, somehow. How? Well, they don’t like the way the other two are depicted – walking while Teddy rides and they look in a way that is offensive to the left. How do they look? Historically accurate for the time.

Moronic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has put the fate of a statue of Christopher Columbus and the name of Columbus Circle in the hands of his dimwitted wife – a better personification of the vapid nature of “woke” culture could not be created in a lab.

Rational thought is not only not being taught in schools anymore, but it’s also probably racist. Pointing that out is probably racist. It’s like we’re living in a high school production of “The Crucible” put on by the juvenile delinquent school, only these are adult (chronologically, anyway). Never has more money been spent with a lower rate of return than whatever it costs to educate the average. That $500 hammer is a bargain by comparison.

The devolution of the mind in so many easily led, ready to believe, and willing to do anything automatons screaming freely for a month that we live in a fascistic country run by a totalitarian has irony meters around the world overloading.

Only through the abject failure of the public education systems could a wasted, man—bun wearing, tattooed white moron lecture a black police officer about race in America, or a major news network describe the rioting mob to which he and his ilk belong as “anti-racist protesters” for trying to rip down a statue of Andrew Jackson.

The only people with any intelligence are the puppet masters keeping these drones in a frenzy. They couple to violence with actual peaceful protests, using children as props, during the day. As the idiots sleep it off, kids are out chanting for change. The next generation of the obedient being groomed through the human shield program of the radical left.

But when the sun goes down, so does the collective IQ.

You can tell what someone is by what they declare themselves to be, and it’s always the opposite. Smart people don’t need to tell people they’re smart. They will figure it out. Funny people don’t tell people how funny they are. They just make you laugh. And people interested in justice and equality tend not to throw a pack of explosives at a homeless man sleeping on the street while their equal in idiocy films them.

You can see why Democrats want people in prison to vote. They’re a huge part of their base.

What these people lack in ability to think they make up for in wiliness to act. The Nazis would have been nothing without a compliant slice of the public and a military willing to carry out their orders. Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it, and those leading and funding this mob who do know history are leading people down the same path in the hope that it will.

When you watch these riots and think, “There is no reason for that,” know that you’re right, mostly. Just drop the last two words then remember come November which party created and has been running the public school system for generations, thinking people aren’t mindlessly obedient, nor do they demand absolute conformity of thought. It’s no accident there is no reason, there’s actually a very good reason for it.
