Community leaders and an activist whose brother was killed by Seattle police in 2016 are urging protesters occupying the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP, to leave by Wednesday night. In a statement addressed to comrades in the struggle posted on social media Wednesday, CHOP organizers declared, It is time we shift to the next phase of our organizing and move from direct action to virtual activism. The CHOP project is now concluded, the lengthy message said. While we expect a very small handful of holdouts may try to remain in the CHOP no further organizing will be occurring to support this presence and the number on-site will be too small to be more than an annoyance for pedestrians rather than a zonal blockade.

Forgiven....it just smelled like goading to create a Kent State event. Almost worked, judging from DjT’s initial comments.
Right -- but he didn't usurp the power of state governments in the process, did he?
Ignore what he SAYS.
Pay attention to what he DOES.
“I guess they got a lot of street theater practice in with Occupy Wall Street.”
I have been tracking a local Antifa/BLM activist who has been doxing people on facebook. She has been directing protest and employer harassment to get people fired for social media post. She has gotten a couple of people fired.
I watch for her to post new targets then contact the targets before she can act. It is becoming a part time job in the last week.
She works in the local theater here as a instructor/teacher. Your comment was on target. She teaches theater acting.
Side note: Thinking about doing a counter operation on her, just need to figure out how to make it hurt. I know how she picks her targets.
The COVID National Emergency was to slow the spread of the virus and beef up medical care.
If a state said they didn't have to abide by the President's NE, Trump had the Supremacy Clause to back him up. The Supremacy Clause is key to our national union. It assures that the Constitution and federal laws and treaties take precedence over state law. This is binding in the courts and in established law.
The COVID NE didn't tell the states they couldn't enact their own Executive Orders (and oh boy, did they).
In the same way, the states preferences don't usurp the Supremacy Clause if the President declared a NE that warranted the use of force to suppress insurrection (and this is what is happening).

The Committee of Public Safety would like to have a word with you about that statement...
[We successfully built a self-governing community that relied 100% on eeeevil Capitalist America for food, water, clothes, communications and medical care for the ODs and shootings.]
They probably believe their own lies, too.
I’m sure they believe they’re self-sufficient.
And what, now, 2 or 3 dead in their little 12-block area in just a few weeks? That’s some Democrat success story, right there.
IIRC, 3 dead and a total of 5 shot in two weeks, plus at least one sexual assault, probably more and plenty of cases of assault and theft including by their own “Security” force.
3 dead was the count I thought had happened, too.
