Thank you.
the Hidden Fortress is my favorite. Blew me away!
\So deep, yet so accessible.,
Seven Samurai is a superb two hour historical action film. Unfortunately, Kurosawa only edited it down to a bit over three hours. By all means see it. Good movie. But sluggish.
Great doc. - I agree with it.
Check out Kurasawa’s rain scene in Rashoman.. I heard one critic say this was the first time in film that rain looked like rain:

I always thought Seven Samurai was extremely well paced. Sure it wasn’t your mood?
“Japan should not only ignore Chinas intimidation, she should launch a military buildup.”
I’m thinking a nuked up Japan, armed with Lexus quality systems that would take them about 6 weeks to put together.
China has poisoned itself with their own bio-weapon, they face massive flooding in the south, their factory production in way down due to covid-19 and the floods, they’re getting their butts kicked by India in hand to hand combat in the Himalayas, they’re facing internal uprisings in Hong Kong and their giant hydro-electric dam is about to fail and kill 20 million people who live below the dam and they are pissing off Viet Nam and the Philippines by claiming rights to international waters; Its logical to save face by threatening Japan and the US.
