China warned Japan against pursuing a new national security strategy following reports of discussions at Tokyo's National Security Council.
Beijing foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Wednesday at a regular press briefing that the "world knows" of hidden intentions, when asked to comment about reported developments in Japan.
"People of the world know of the intentions of Sima Zhao," the Chinese spokesman said, referring to a military general who ruled during the Three Kingdoms period of China.
According to chronicles of ancient Chinese history, Sima Zhao crushed internal opposition and took control of the state of Cao Wei, which had been seized by his father, Sima Yi.

If only we had Ronald Reagan as POTUS 12 years sooner.
With Kurosawa every frame’s a masterpiece.
On the story, Japan should not only ignore China’s intimidation, she should launch a military buildup. I don’t know if Japan can depend on us if we don’t put down this insurrection.
Commie China is boasting and threatening a lot. They are like a little dog making noise to appear bigger and more powerful than they are. But in the old Japanese samurai movies the Master samurai Never Boasted. He was always humble and quiet until he was forced to act. Watch “Seven Samurai”. The movie gives an insight into human behavior. Same with John Wayne movies.
China is weak. That’s why they’re yelling and stomping.
Zhao now, Zhao then.
Anyone know exactly what the CCP is really saying here?
Confusing article....
you know how the norks do this?
this is china’s version of it.
My desire to see Japan sink numerous Chinese warships is second only to my desire to see numerous American leftists sent to prison for life.
I’m no expert on this, but I do believe the Japanese self-defense navy is larger and more capable than people realize. And China has always had a hard time projecting power beyond its borders — with the sad exception of Tibet.
“Im no expert on this, but I do believe the Japanese self-defense navy is larger and more capable than people realize”
Yes, ranked world’s fifth largest navy. Probably a very capable navy also.
I have never seen one of his flicks. Which is a good one to start with?
Akira Kurosawa - Composing Movement

China’s hostile and greedy behavior to it’s neighbors will result in all of them having nukes.
I don’t think China can scare them from it and should just change it’s ways, to a way that will result to China’s profit instead.
Can’t tell you where to start. But...
I’m a hater of subtitled films, yet I loved every film of his I’ve seen
Ok. Thanks.
Some of the potential new systems (like a “Pershing 3”) could reach deep into the Chinese heartland from Japanese bases.
Some will likely be hypersonic - hard to defend against.
Others could deny vast areas of the sea to Chinese warships - bottling them up, and leaving them vulnerable in their home ports.
It is going to be a real game changer.
We might see the first in a year or two, but by five years, they will probably be sprouting up like mushrooms.
Not much sense for most countries to speak up publicly now about accepting the systems, and take Chinese economic retaliation. They can pretend to not be willing to take the new systems, until they are ready.
Prepare covertly.
I like all of the Kurosawa flicks with Toshiro Mifune. One of my favorites is "The Hidden Fortress". It costars two bumbling fools, who were the basis for George Lucas creation of R2-D2 and C3PO characters in "Star Wars".
“I have never seen one of his (Akira Kurosawa) flicks. Which is a good one to start with?”
The Seven Samurai was the basis for the plot of the Magnificent Seven (Cowboy Movie).
Yojimbo (the Bodyguard) is another classic samurai slice’em up, starring Toshiro Mifune (Japan’s John Wayne).
I’d recommend starting with one of those two.
Rashomon is a psychological thriller, like a Hitchcock movie, that first made Kurosawa famous in the West.
The Hidden Fortress guided the plot of the early Star Wars episodes.
Throne of Blood, was an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
“I have never seen one of his flicks. Which is a good one to start with?”
Samurai films:
Seven Samurai
Kagemusha
Rashoman (not really samurai, but off the chart beautiful)
Ran
for a look at his modern take:
Ikiru
Stray Dog
And China’s bullying will force every country to deploy such missiles.
Yet, a rational policy would avoid that.
They’re “nuts”.
Thanks.
Thanks
