Hannity’s hard work and intense preparation help mask the fact that he’s not very bright at all. The reason he keeps interrupting his guests and talking over them is that he’s working off a well-prepared script in his mind ... and if the conversation ever goes away from that script, he’s lost.

I’ve met Sean Hannity. Nice guy, but I’d be shocked if his IQ was tested over 95.

Or he could be really disciplined. Today, the life of a right-wing talk show host who talks politics is a matter of walking in the vicinity of the third rail while staying well away from it. This wasn’t always the case. In decades past, Firing Line and Crossfire were far less politically-correct. But today, someone who talks about the issues from the right without mincing words is flirting with disaster. It would not surprise me if Tucker Carlson’s show went away in the next couple of years.
