FDR was an American President and very much a part of American history.
If you openly advocate the defacement & destruction of American history, you really need to hand in your conservative card.
You’ve already joined the other side.
You might also consider leaving the US. Perhaps living under the American flag is better than *you* deserve.

Of course, any US president’s policies will have been disliked by some segments of the population. FDR’s internment of Japanese was wildly popular with some; among those interned, not so much.
You’ve said several times “FDR betrayed the nation & his oath & kicked the Constitution to the curb” a bombastic statement without specifics if ever there was one.
You believe FDR’s response to Pearl Harbor, his response to Hitler, betrayed our nation? In what way?
Perhaps you believe FDR’s war effort was not enough? Too much? Perhaps you’d be willing to return your Social Security benefits to the Treasury?
Or, just to clarify, you’re only advocating that “Americans” such as yourself go out & publicly piss on whatever memorials don’t measure up perfectly to your individual demands for whatever reason?
Because when you do that, you’re essentially advocating the disrespect & destruction of every American edifice, every American memorial, and everything America stands for.

I stand by my original statement, although I regret feeling a need to state it so rudely.
Saying “shut up” isn’t nice, and normally I’m mostly nice.
But the fact is, the folks advocating what you’re advocating —and you, too, by advocating the same—are trying to shut us all up.
So that’s what it comes down to. We have left normal times and are rapidly approaching war times.
How then shall we live?
One side or the other MUST eventually be silenced & defeated in order that the other side may survive & lead.
Which side of history are you on?
Will you aid & abet America’s enemies, foreign & domestic? Or will you help to shut them up & shut them down?
Will you defend America & its history, warts & all— or not?

Actually, the need for the federal to erect monuments to those who have expanded its power increases as its lawlessness increased. Most of those monuments weren’t there for well over a hundred years. Even the Washington monument was half finished through most of the 19th century.

No lawless central government doing whatever the damnable progressives and worse damn well please, no need to erect monuments to its lawless glory to help keep the people in line.

We’d be better off with governance by constitutional means and a town empty of monuments of any sort.

FDR ... I don’t want to erase him from history but throw he and his legacy of Arbitrary governance on the trash heap of same to be ridiculed and mocked, break up his monument and sell it as paperweights.

As for social security: yes, it has to go. It should have never been. And no one has the right to defraud people of their earnings for their illegitimate benefits just because they were defrauded of their means to give others illegitimate benefits earlier.
