Rep. Bobby Rush pretty much forced him to give that answer with the way he asked the question. The part about blacks typically having more in-contact with the infected jobs and not desktop computer jobs than whites is true, and it's also true that blacks are more prone to Vit. D deficiency (which Fauci failed to mention) which has been shown to make COVID a much more dangerous disease.

But the comordiities - hypertension, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease etc. which he said "through no fault of their own" - is part of institutional racism.

So blacks, apparently, are at fault for NOTHING negative that happens to them, even getting fat, smoking, and racking up diseases from those things. It's society's fault.

One of the first things learned in elementary statistics is that “correlation doesn’t prove causation”.
