Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has asked for help from local and federal agencies to respond to a spate of gun violence in the city that continued Monday.
Nine people were shot in three separate incidents in north Minneapolis, the Star Tribune reports, though it's not clear if the incidents were related to each other, or to the shooting in Uptown Minneapolis that killed Cody Pollard, 27, and wounded 11 others on Saturday.
The mayor said the city will receive assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department, Metro Transit Police, the State Patrol, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to investigate the shootings.

The only thing that can change the culture of violence in Murderapolis will be for the voters to throw out the demoncrat liberal city council and send the child mayor back to the playground. Maybe he will grow up and grow a backbone.

I don’t disagree. I lived in Minneapolis from ‘82 to ‘14. The area I lived in was decent but had started to decline somewhat. I got out.
But the problem here is that the rioting and recent shootings happened in only one or two areas of town - specifically the Lake Street corridor and north Minneapolis.
None of the white liberal holier than thou NIMBY areas (like Linden Hills, East Isles, Kenwood, etc) were affected. Those areas are for the most part safe. I really truly want those areas of the city to experience the pain as well.

Lake Minnetonka is mostly safe neighborhoods, if Karen in her Lexus SUV on her cell phone doesn’t run you off the road. But Minnesota did mandate “hands-free” phone usage while driving, so that might help.
