I thought you meant now. he is one of the few people that has come out in support of the president a number of times. There’s only a handful of senators that aren’t afraid to speak and he is one of them.
is it real or is it just smart business? Probably just business. If you want to run for president again you want to be able to say you supported a very very popular conservative president

That’s exactly when he lost me. I’d heard over and over how he was the staunchest of constitutionalists - then when he thought there’d be a political advantage in blaming Trump for the fascists who prevented his rally, he took a leak all over the constitution.
