PHOENIX Coronavirus pandemic or not, an investment advisory company is leaving the cultural unrest in Seattle and moving its headquarters to Phoenixs Camelback Corridor.
The unrest that has taken place in the city of Seattle there is really is not a downtown business community today, Smead Capital Management, President and CEO Cole Smead told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Smead said that although taxes in Seattle are lower, candidate recruitment is harder and the cost of living within the city is more expensive than Phoenix.
Were hearing rumors of 40-story buildings that will be only 20-percent occupied by October, Smead said.
My biggest concern for Seattle was what the business community is going to come back to, and what kind of businesses are going to come back for customers.

Seattle will soon look like Gary, Detroit and Dayton. Sad but that’s what democraps do.
I'm sure many of the workers will be excited about this move. /s
Happy now, Madame Mayor?
Big money-bagged corporations are quickly packing their bags and making haste for the nearest airports.
“So long, Suckers!” they said.
Ideas? Anybody?
Nuevo Caracas comes to mind as a contender.
.
They should go to Boston. Arizona might be savable. But it needs to stop importing idiot democraps
The price of tolerating idiots is high indeed.
Unexpectedly.... why would any corporate entity want to stay in Seattle?! Boeing left years ago didn’t they?
Move the company... Leave the communist voters that caused these problems behind... Don’t infest AZ any more than it is...
Yeah, my once conservative birth city of Seattle got Californicated back in the late ‘70’s, early ‘80’s from those escaping high taxes and government regulations and unfortunately, they brought their politics with them.
...at least it’s a dry rain.
The city government and the nut job inhabitants have brought it on themselves. They are about to learn a hard lesson. And when they scream to the Federal government for help around the first of the year, I hope President Trump tells them politely to go to hell.
Phoenix is hot as all get out in the summer. And many of these twits seem come from places with relatively nice weather.
Maybe they think of it as improving the odds they’ll harass them for those months?
Corporate Boeing HQ’s left for Chicago in the late ‘90’s, Boeing airplanes are still made in Seattle and elsewhere.
How about Little Moscow?
My kid has been on business to the Phoenix several times during the past four years. Said because of the weather most of the people stay indoors and are out of shape. Surprising number of unhealthy people there.
More like Little Leningrad.
