Andrew Jackson was a total jerk, the Bolton of his age.

Jackson may well have been a total jerk, but I wouldn’t call him that to his face. But to compare him to Bolton? In your list of those he hated, you left out the English. He hated those he fought against. He certainly wasn’t a 21st century man, but he may have been a man of his time. The elites of his time certainly didn’t like him.

He was definitely in with his part of the elites, because the policies he was enacting weren’t his alone. One of the things I hate about this rampage is that we never really get to discuss what was behind an individual’s actions. They scream that he’s just BAD.

Jackson was not the Hitler of his time. He was simply doing the manifest destiny stuff, and it wasn’t his idea alone. However, I will say that he was a particularly cruel slave owner. He owned a lot of slaves, and when they escaped, he would send slave catchers after them ....and pay them extra if they could beat or torture the runaways in some way that didn’t render them useless before they returned them to Jackson. Definitely not a nice person, but a very influential one and a legitimately elected president who cannot be erased.

Anyway, the Dems have got take credit for him...LOL!

He kicked @$$. He would do it with an army, or he would do it one on one.

The one thing he was not was a wilting flower.
