Check out YouTube videos of Dr. Chris Knobbe. He shows a very strong correlation between the increase of liquid seed oils as food and the increase in disease.
We do a blood sugar test on nearly every person we transport to the hospital. I can’t count the number of times we have asked the patient if they were diabetic and then after looking at the reading said “you might want to get that checked.”

Yes, or in my case 8 YRS on a GASTROPARESIS DIET LED TO TYPE 2. Gastroparesis is a disease in which the stomach cannot empty itself of food in a normal fashion. Symptoms include heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and feeling full quickly when eating. Treatments include medications and possibly surgery. Clumps of congealed un-digested food. Bezoars can cause blockages in the stomach that keep food from passing into the small intestine. ER surgery needed.
It would be an awesome thing if the reverse were true - cure diabetes. Perhaps this will open up a new avenue of investigation.
The #1 thing that will get rid of Type 2 diabetes is getting rid of belly fat. Not fat anywhere else, but specifically fat in the belly. What's special about fat cells from the belly is they form a physical barrier between glucose molecules and insulin molecules and prevent them from binding. So though your body is producing insulin it's not doing any good. Actually it's even worse than that. Because the blood sugar doesn't drop over time the body *thinks* it's not producing enough insulin, so the pancreas works harder to produce even more insulin leading to exhaustion of the Beta cells. Just ridding fat around the belly and getting sufficient exercise will work wonders.
It’s very possibly that Covid19 may cause diabetes. We know it can attack multiple organs in the body. If it attacks and destroys Beta cells of the pancreas you will become Type 1 diabetic. That simple.

Viruses are often the trigger for Diabetes type one in healthy individuals. the cause is not unusual.
We know that the brain is involved in control of insulin.
