TikTok users and K-pop fans claim they reserved hundreds of tickets for Donald Trump's Tulsa rally on Saturday night with no intention of attending.
Political strategist Steve Schmidt, an outspoken critic of Trump, tweeted on Saturday night: 'My 16 year old daughter and her friends in Park City Utah have hundreds of tickets. You have been rolled by America's teens.
'@realDonaldTrump you have been failed by your team. You have been deserted by your faithful. No one likes to root for the losing team.'
He then added: 'This is what happened tonight. I'm dead serious when I say this. The teens of America have struck a savage blow against @realDonaldTrump. All across America teens ordered tickets to this event. The fools on the campaign bragged about a million tickets. lol.'
US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez praised the Zoomers and K-pop allies involved in reserving tickets.

What kind of person teaches their daughter that sabotaging our political system is something to be proud of? The lesson his child is learning is that the ends justifies the means. That’s a very slippery slope to put your kid on.

I agree - but I think the announcement that over a million tickets were request would have certainly caused some people to give a second thought to going. Between lineups starting on Monday, and attending something with that many people, I think I would change my mind and opt for my tv, air-conditioning, private bathroom, no parking issues and standing for hours.....
They should just keep the numbers quiet, so as not to discourage people from going.

Tickets are free and it is first come first served. This is all nonsense.
Exactly. Many middle-aged people would avoid a gathering of a million like the plague. Nightmare for traffic, parking, walking, standing, bathroom facilities, heat, food and drink.....no thanks. I’m betting this had a huge impact on the numbers that wound up coming out.
These tickets were free because they wanted to know the crowd size this time. I don’t think Trump rallies typically have tickets, but I may be wrong.
Or make it completely non-refundable.
the biggest irony is these fools - young and old - were not only using a communist website TikTok, but one that is potentially racist toward black Americans! (China’s racism against Africans inside China is well known, not to mention their racism towards Tibetans, Uighurs etc):

Social media giant TikTok has exploded in popularity with an estimated 800 million active users worldwide but an increasing number of black creators are coming forward saying TikTok is suppressing their content.
“Tik Tok is manipulating the accounts of minorities and silencing our accounts through censorship,” said Anthony Merriweather who uses the application frequently.
After tracking his analytics closely for the past several months and seeing the complaints from other black users, Merriweather believes TikTok is manipulating his posts to keep them from being shared and gaining traction.
“Numbers don’t lie, but they can be manipulated and that’s what’s happening,” said Merriweather. “You already have systemic oppression, you already have physical oppression, we don’t need creative oppression, you need a creative outlet.”
TikTok, a Chinese-owned platform, has faced similar accusations in the past after several news agencies obtained documents instructing staff to censor users deemed ugly, poor, or disabled...
But, last month many users raised concerns after they noticed videos tagged #GeorgeFloyd or #BlackLivesMatter were hard to find. TikTok later apologized calling it a technical glitch and a display issue only.

Tickets have always been required.
Something other than tickets went wrong. This is the first rally he’s ever had that wasn’t full to capacity.
That's an interesting point. On the one hand, you want everyone thinking it's a wildly popular event. On the other hand, you don't want to run people away for fear of a large crowd.
Like Yogi Berra said, "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
I would say at this point its anecdotal this had any value in “stopping” Trump’s rally. This has been a tactic of the left since day one, and its the reason why the “tickets” are free. They build in a percentage of them will be fake. I suspect the Trump team knew many of them were fake just by looking at blocks coming in at the same time, gibberish names, or repeat phone numbers (someone said you need a phone number to get an official ticket—I just can’t see kids legit creating Google phone numbers for each ticket). Also, they talked about getting a larger venue at one point, but they never did. Perhaps they were game to what was going on.
As for Trump openly touting the number of sign-ups before the event, I think it was a smart play. He takes a hit for some of them being fake, but unless the kids turn in their work and prove it, he can say the number of fakes was irrelevant to his plans. If they do turn in their work, he gets valuable intel on how to spot fraud in the future.
The media lies. Always. They hyped the danger of COVID in the days leading up to the event. Nowhere will they mention the curfew threat which chased away the most dedicated Trump fans. They won’t mention the problems at the gates. They won’t mention the energy of the crowd or Trumps oratory. They CERTAINLY won’t mention his message of hope, law, and unity.
My zoomer kid, when hearing Trump had a rally, asked me if we could go to one the next time the President is in our area. THAT is what the news will never report.
