Why weren’t these people pushing Gab.com when it appeared (well before Parler)?

There was a free-speech alternative to Twitter but I don’t remember it been pushed as hard as this newcomer.

I presume there are business and Conservative Inc. links whereas Gab was started by a pro-Trump Christian with no ties to Conservative Inc.

Because clearly Parler is slated to become the next big GOP "Insider" site, with ad contracts already being lined up.

Gab isn't bad, but the audience is minimal so far and it's a little rough around the edges.

If people want genuinely independent commentary and content, they should just come to FR. :)
