Pope Francis warns society against reverting to individualism after the pandemic

Francis made a statement from the Vatican on Sunday, praising healthcare workers in Italy's Lombardy region who stood by their patients during the pandemic's "troubled months."

Lombardy was Italy's worst-affected region at the height of the pandemic.

Francis later warned people to "be careful," and not to allow individualism to again become "the guiding principle of society."

Francis used the health care workers as an example to make his point, saying their professionalism was "one of the pillars of [Italy]." The Pope described the medical workers as "angels."

In April, he said the pandemic could be one of "nature's responses" to humans ignoring the current ecological crisis.

Very true also the rights of the many or the group are drawn on the rights of the individual. Any rights afforded to the group that is not afforded to the individual ends up being oppression of some kind!

Individualism is infinitely preferable to the tribalism, socialism, communism and globalism this Third World pope and all sorts of leftists seem to prefer.

Individualism within a constitution that protects individual rights and upholds the rule of law is what this country and this world needs.

Yeah, let’s rely on the government again and again, you know, the one that keeps leaving us on our own during the Marxist Dumpster Fire Revolution.

I know people who won’t come out of their home for anything or anyone because they are afraid of Covid. You can’t get any more individualistic than that.

I wonder if Pope Francis will make a statement about the leftist BLM thugs toppling of the St. Junipero Serra Statue in San Francisco? After all, he is the pope who canonized Fr. Junipero Serra in Washington, DC.
