Ralph Northam’s family owned at least 84 slaves

The First Lady of Virginia, Pam Northam, wife of Ralph, got herself in hot water this week for handing out cotton to black students while they were on a tour. But the Northams have form when it comes to messy race relations. There’s the whole blackface or KKK costume school photograph business. Then there’s the blacking up as Michael Jackson thing, which Ralph admitted to. Oh, and Ralph Northam’s family owned at least 84 slaves.

Northam maintains that he learned about his family’s slave ownership in 2017. That story is harder to believe once you see that three out of the four grandparental lines of his family owned slaves. Two branches owned at least two dozen.

Why does the Cancel Culture allow him to be Governor?

Put a rope around him and pull him down. Safely, of course.

The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.

Northam is part of the revolution. So he's safe.

“Northam is part of the revolution. So he’s safe.”

For now…until he’s not useful.
Then he’s toast.
It’s what they do.

Is Northam rich? Let him pay the reparations to the survivors of his slave owning predecessors. He should do so proudly.

Nobody gives a crap. Northam could walk around tomorrow with a black child on a leash and the Left would praise him for helping guide minority youth.

“Ralph Northam’s family owned at least 84 slaves”

Seriously?

How old is he? What year were his parents born?

Slavery has been illegal since 1866.

How did Northam's family treat their slaves?

Did they control their movements?

Did they force them to stay indoors unless they obtained permission to go outside?

Were the slaves who attended to the family's needs, i.e., cooks, servers, maids, et al, treated better than the slaves who worked to provide income for the plantation?

Sounds like how Northam is running his plantation today.

Article says Grandparents. That would put them as being born anywhere from 1880-1910. Probably meant great grand parents. Either way, it’s ok. He didn’t know and I’m sure he’s absolutely miserable about it.

Gosh, Ralphie, maybe you should just end it all. I mean, how can You live, knowing you decended from slave owners. Shameful. Maybe the rest of need to stop wearing cotton too.
